Shropshire Excellence in Business Awards

Seymour Manufacturing International has been praised for its innovation, creativity and team spirit in one of the West Midlands’ leading business awards competitions.

The company was one of 24 businesses celebrated in the Shropshire Excellence In Business Awards, held at the RAF Cosford museum near Wolverhampton.

The event was hosted by BBC Midlands Today presenter Joanne Malin, and SMI was nominated in the ‘Excellence In Manufacturing’ category in recognition of its market-leading Tempro thermal insulation product range, which continues to expand.

Joanne Malin told the audience at the black-tie ceremony: “Seymour Manufacturing International impressed with their constant innovation and creativity, always on the look out to break into new markets. The judges felt they were outstanding team players.”

SMI chairman Brian Seymour said: “These are exciting times for our company as we prepare to launch new products, expand our export work, and build on contracts we have won in new markets such as the pharmaceutical sector.

“We are one of the world’s leading thermal insulation suppliers for protection of food, chemicals, agricultural and home delivery products, serving a variety of organisations with products and systems of the highest standard – but we are also a tight-knit, loyal and hard-working team of people, always keen to go the extra mile to meet the needs of our customers.

“For our efforts to have been recognised and praised by our such a panel of respected business people is gratifying, and fills our workforce with pride.”
