SMI is proud to have been supplying the UK armed forces with a range of temperature control products for more than 30 years.

The thermal properties, and hard-wearing nature of our flexible covers (as below photos), liners, and Temperature Controlled Zones (TCZ) make them ideal for use in the field, often in hostile conditions, where outside temperatures can vary quickly, and dramatically.

We have adapted our range to create flexible mortuary units and thermal dividers for hospitals, funeral directors and the military – including Track-Rack spine board holders and evaporator units capable of maintaining temperatures of at least +4C.

And our celebrated Temperature Controlled Zones (TCZ) have risen to the challenge in the most unlikely of places, including huge military depots.
